Trey Bailey is a lifelong Newton County resident who has lived on the east side for over 25 years. He married his high school sweetheart, Alonda, a Mansfield Elementary teacher, and together they have three daughters—Anna Beth, and twins Kaitlyn and Kristen, all Eastside High Eagles. Trey represents District 1 on the Newton County Board of Education and has served over 20 years as a pastor at Eastridge Church. A Newton High alum, he toured the U.S. in a Gen-X alt-rock band before earning a B.S. in Information Systems from Mercer and an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Luther Rice Seminary. Trey has chaired Leadership Newton County and served on the Chamber’s Special Events Committee. Known for his calm, logical approach and passion for unity, he connects across political divides.
