About the Position
Quality Textile Exports is seeking a dependable, hardworking Warehouse & Logistics Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, self-motivated, and experienced in warehouse operations. This position offers a variety of responsibilities including forklift operation, shipping and receiving, inventory control, customer service, and special research projects within the textile industry. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while also working effectively as part of a team to support the company's daily operations and long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload 40-foot export containers and 53-foot dry van trailers in both the warehouse and outdoor loading dock areas safely and efficiently.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition of products.
- Inspect, measure, roll, band, and prepare textile fabrics for domestic and international shipment.
- Prepare, package, and ship outgoing customer orders accurately.
- Assist with inventory control and warehouse organization.
- Use basic computer skills for shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse projects.
- Assist with special projects, including market research and maintaining company databases.
- Assist walk-in customers by appointment by preparing invoices, processing customer payments, and safely loading purchased materials into customer vehicles.
- Maintain the exterior warehouse grounds by picking up trash, keeping loading areas clean, and assisting with basic property upkeep to ensure a clean, safe, and professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work environment.
- Perform other warehouse, logistics, and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience is required.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and professional email communication.
- Good basic math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Ability to work in both indoor warehouse and outdoor loading dock environments in varying weather conditions.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required.
- Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record.
