The Community Bike Ride is a monthly, no-drop, group bicycle ride co-sponsored by Newton Trails, the Covington-Newton County Visitors Center, and Main Street Covington.
It is the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon any time of year.
We start and finish each ride at the Square. The first loop is a gentle, family-friendly 4.5-mile roll around historic downtown Covington. (Click here for a map of the route.) Then, if you're up for a little more fun, take a ride with us out and back on the scenic Eastside Trail.
The entire outing is perfectly geared to riders of all abilities looking for a relaxing, conversational ride with friends to close out the weekend. Enjoy the ride and then linger on the Square to enjoy an ice cream from Scoops or dine in one of the local eateries. Find out why the t-shirt says: Covington, a Refreshing Change of Place!
Helmets are required.
