Artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life—from how information is shared to how jobs are changing and services are delivered. This community-centered panel will introduce AI in clear, practical terms and explore how it already shows up in local contexts like education, public services, and work. Panelists will discuss how communities are realistically using AI, and why responsible use matters for trust, privacy, and fairness. This virtual event is designed for the general public and hopes to help the community feel more informed, confident, and prepared to engage with AI as it continues to shape our shared future. Must be registered to attend. Register at https://sites.gsu.edu/perimetercommunityevents/.
Panelists include Hosanna Fletcher (Lecturer, Sociology, Georgia State University Perimeter College Newton Campus), Lanier Sims (CEO & Founder, Dualdeko), and Chris Langston (Contractor for Microsoft).
