DESCRIPTION:Session I (Jan 14): In this introductory course to pruning you will learn simple principles on the fundamentals of pruning and how to produce strong\, healthy and attractive plants. You will also learn about the history of pruning in America.  \n\n\n\nSession II (Jan 28): Put your Session 1 skills to practice as you explore a hands-on lesson focusing on the trees and shrubs surrounding Farmview Market. This workshop will provide practical demonstrations\, and coaching to help increase your comfort and confidence with pruning.\n\n\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring their own gloves and pruning shears if possible\, but several sets of tools will be available to share. No prior pruning experience necessary.\n\n\n\nThis two-session workshop\, will be led by avid and obsessed Madison gardener\, Cassandre McGowan. Cassandre aspires to teach and encourage others to employ kinder\, gentler\, more informed pruning practices.
